Frequently Asked Questions
Is it safe to give online?
In many ways giving online is safer than writing a check because an electronic gift cannot be lost or stolen. Additionally we use the same industry-standard SSL encryption as your bank to make sure your personal information is safe and secure.
What type of bank accounts can I give from?
You can give online from any account connected to your credit or debit card. If you prefer, you can also give by electronic check using your routing and account numbers. This information is found in the MICR line of your check.
Is my bank account information secure?
We value your privacy and security. Through our service partner, Simple Give, we provide industry-standard SSL encryption to protect your personal and payment information. This is the same level of encryption used by banks and financial institutions.

Are there any fees involved with giving online?
No, you will never pay a fee or service charge for giving online. This service is provided to make your giving as easy and convenient as possible.
Can I make a one-time contribution?
Yes, you have the option of making either a one-time contribution or setting up a recurring schedule for your online giving. Your gift can be designated for one category (for example, Tithes) or split between multiple giving categories (Tithes & Missions).
At what frequency can I set a recurring contribution?
For recurring contributions, you have the option of giving weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly. These options can be changed at any time on the Scheduled Giving tab.
Can I change the amount or frequency of a scheduled gift after it is set up?
Yes, you can change or cancel your contribution at any time before the date of your next contribution. Simply log in and make the necessary changes on the Scheduled Giving tab.
Can I review my giving history online?
Yes, you can view the complete history of your online giving under My Account.
Please contact the church office to obtain your full giving history, including contributions not made online.
Will I still receive regular contribution statements from the church?
Yes, the church will continue to send year-end contribution statements for tax purposes to your address on file. To update your address, please contact the church office at (713) 472-2609.
When will contributions be taken from my account?
Contributions made with your credit / debit card will be taken out of your account on the same day. However, contributions made by electronic check are transferred via ACH and usually require at least 72 business hours for processing. When using electronic check, if the date of your contribution falls on a weekend or a holiday, the transaction will be initiated on the next banking day.
Can I designate my gift to a particular cause or fund?
Yes, you can designate your gift to Tithe, Offering, or Missions. We may also add additional funds and giving categories as needed.
How will I know that I set up my gift correctly?
Immediately after submitting your contribution, you will receive a confirmation email verifying the details of your contribution.
Can I use a debit or credit card?
Yes, debit and credit cards are accepted. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express. If you prefer, you can also give by electronic check.
